Cicco is a hole in the wall gem in SoHo, serving some of the best Italian food (particularly pasta) in the city. This is mostly credited to the Italian owner who not only runs everything but can often be seen advising the kitchen, ensuring every dish is authentically delicious.
The cozy, rustic atmosphere makes this place excellent for romantic and casual dates, as well as girls dinners, business meals, lunch, small bites, groups and spotting beautiful people.
Good For Business Meals: It’s not a typical “business meal” restaurant, in that you’ll rarely find men in suits comparing
dick size business cards. However, it is a quiet, cozy and incredibly friendly place in which to have important chats.
Good For Romantic Dates: The dim lighting, basement atmosphere, exposed brick and excellent wine list make it a cozy restaurant for a romantic – yet casual – date.
Good For Lunch: I cannot say enough about the deliciousness of the food at Ciccio, which opens at 11 a.m. during the week and noon on weekends. It’s also in one of the most charming areas of the city – yet set just far enough away from the close, impossible to tolerate, tourist area.
