Koi Bryant Park was one of my clients back when I was a publicist. Which means, the fact that I’ve had more meals there than I can count and am not sick of it/still think it’s worth writing about says a lot for the restaurant. What’s kept me going back are the insanely addictive dishes (ahem – crispy rice), a chic yet relaxed atmosphere and the awesome wine/sake/cocktail lists.
The restaurant, which also has locations in LA, Vegas and SoHo, is a great spot for business meetings, celebrity sightings, girls dinners, big groups, lunch, people watching, small bites and entertaining out of town friends. More info below:
Good For People Watching: The interior space allows for a fair amount of spying on those around you but – for even better people watching – grab a seat up front in the bar dining area and look out the window at the hoards of people in Bryant Park.
Good For Celebrity Sightings: While not as good as the Koi in LA – which has attracted A-listers almost every night since opening 12 years ago – Koi Bryant Park still attracts its fair share of celebs on a regular basis.
Good For Business Meetings: Lunch is the best time to come here for business meals as its a little more quiet but still offers an impressive, intimate experience. Just make sure you make a reservation because, even in the afternoon, they tend to fill up quickly.
Good For Romantic Dates: It’s more “sexy romantic” than a candlelit dinner-type restaurant – but snuggling up in the back booths over sake and sushi makes for a fantastic date night.
