Omar’s La Ranita and Omar’s are two adjoining restaurants – both of which also have great bar areas. While the former is open to the public, the latter is a private dining member’s club. On most nights, the only real difference between the two is generally the crowd, with Omar’s providing a second home for fashion, arts and media elite and Omar’s La Ranita catering to those who are (only slightly) less “in the know”. Both, however, have great, lively atmospheres, sexy decor, delicious food and inventive cocktail lists.

The bar areas of each are great for business drinks, casual dates, first dates, celebrity sightings, meeting hot girls and rich guys and entertaining friends in from out of town. The dining rooms are perfect for business meetings, group dinners, romantic dates, small bites and spotting beautiful people. More info below:

Good For Business Drinks: While the cozy lounge area of Omar’s is slightly better for this than the large bar of the public area, both provide an atmosphere conducive to important conversations – particularly if they take place before the crowds come in around 8 or 9 p.m.

Good For Groups: If you make reservations, both spots work well for big groups – there’s also a private dining room that can fit around 10-12 people and a semi-private party room in the back of Omar’s that can hold around 20 people for dinner or more for cocktails.

Good For Romantic Dates: The delicious, well-crafted, seasonal menu and sexy, dimly-lit atmosphere make this a great place for a romantic dinner. Omar’s La Ranita can get a little noisy on the weekends, though so either make a reservation for the private side or go during the week.
